According to the measurement of the characteristic parameters of the internal winding of the transformer, the instrument adopts the internal fault frequency response analysis (FRA) method that is being developed in developed countries in the world to make an accurate judgment of the internal fault of the transformer.
After the transformer is designed and manufactured, its coil and internal structure are determined, so for a multi-winding transformer coil, if the voltage level is the same, the winding method is the same, then the corresponding parameters of each coil (Ci, Li) should be determined. Therefore, the frequency domain characteristic response of each coil is also determined, and the frequency spectrum of the corresponding three-phase coils has a certain comparability.
Transformer in the test process between turns, interphase short circuit, or collision in the transport process, resulting in the relative displacement of the coil, as well as in the operation process in the short circuit and fault state due to electromagnetic tension coil deformation, will make the distribution parameters of the transformer winding change. Then it affects and changes the original frequency domain characteristics of the transformer, that is, the amplitude change of the frequency response and the shift of the resonant frequency point. The transformer winding tester developed according to the response analysis method is such a novel nondestructive testing equipment for transformer internal faults. It is suitable for the internal structure fault detection of 63kV ~ 500kV power transformers.
